It’s Difficult to Overcome But Not Impossible – If Caught Early Enough.

Recently we completed a follow-up evaluation on 32 couples who are working on improving their memory. At least they would like to. From this we learned some valuable insights which may be critical if you or someone you love is struggling with memory issues or early stage dementia.

First, it’s important to start as soon as possible. We have one 89 year old woman making great progress, but as a rule, the younger one gets going on this, and the sooner in the disease process the better. As we now know, Alzheimer’s can be working it’s insidious damage years before it shows up in memory issues.

Second, we should never underestimate the seriousness of any type of dementia, especially AD. Once it gets going it is very hard to stop. Indeed most professionals do not believe it is possible to arrest diagnosed AD. Some of us know that it is – at least in some cases. BUT, although we know arresting it is possible, we should expect that it will take an extraordinary and concerted effort to do so. This is a multifaceted disease, and it seems to require a multifaceted synergistic approach to stop it, and especially to effect any kind of improvement.

Third, mental, physical and social activity are all very important and protective, and generally need to be planned for, to make sure one gets them into their schedule, even for those who are retired. Otherwise, the TV and boredom can take over. And it’s important to have a purpose and a project to work on.

Fourth, as more and more people try these supplements, especially MemoryXL, we see that the rate of response varies greatly, and it seems to work better, faster, in combination with some other things, like exercise, mental activity, a good diet, drinking lots of water, and other nutrients like fish oil (DHA), a good B-complex, PS (Phosphytidylserine), Huperazine A, trace minerals, coconut oil, CoQ-10, lithium, Cognitex, and other antioxidant drinks or supplements, etc. (See the various progress reports under “Success Stories” on the home page menu. )
